Counselling & Psychotherapy
Counselling is a very purposeful conversation, whereby the client brings their honesty regarding what is concerning them to the counsellor in order to identify how to start experiencing inner betterment.
The reason this is usually short term is because counselling looks at supporting a person to move through their stuckness without delving too much into historical issues (or the difficulty might be recent).

Psychotherapy on the other hand is a talking therapy designed to support people with emotional regulation, identifying root causes of traumas, identifying and managing triggers and so much more.
