Counselling is a very purposeful conversation, whereby the client brings their honesty regarding what is concerning them to the counsellor, in order to identify how to start moving towards inner betterment.

The reason this is usually short term, is because clients in counselling have identified a relatively new cause of concern which is dampening their sense of vitality, and relatively small steps are required to make a change. You may be finding yourself in a noticeably low mood, or anxiousness for some time but generally cope with day to day tasks without too much anguish.

Examples of what clients bring to counselling include:

  • Physical health issues/pain

  • Work related stress

  • Bereavement

  • Anger
